Laura Murphy for Arlington, East Hoathly & Hellingly

Laura has lived in Wealden for 45 years, loves the beauty of the area and regularly litter picks to preserve that.  She's been in business for over 20 years focusing on developing leaders to build our economy and communities. She received a Prime Ministerial award for her innovative work in supporting female entrepreneurs and 15 years ago also founded a women's charity that in 2021 won the Queens Award for Voluntary Service.  Laura's priorities are make our roads safer for children and families by having a mandatory 20 mph around schools and managed crossing points; to improve SEND provision and adult social care; and to tackle fly-tipping arising as a consequence of the online booking system at our household tips.
