Tim Murray for Maresfield & Buxted

Tim has lived in the local area for nearly 30 years and brings a wealth of experience from both his former business and through a career working with global organisations in the UK, Europe and the US. Now retired, he is an active member of the community serving as Chair of Governors at a local village primary school and as a trustee for a local charity.

Tim believes strong, committed county councillors are essential to a healthy democracy, particularly at a time when politics can feel increasingly divisive. He is committed to working hard for all residents and ensuring local voices are heard. If elected, Tim will focus on ensuring that the council is improving transport links, maintaining highways and rural roads, supporting village schools with adapting to changes to SEND and school organisation in the government’s Education Bill, and, importantly, working with partner organisations to ensure that young people are supported with that first step into a career.
