Alison Arthur for Crowborough South & St. Johns

I have lived in Crowborough for 30 years and my 3 children were all born here at the incredible Crowborough Birthing Centre and attend(ed) local schools. I love being out & about in the community - volunteering (Community Pantry, Repair Café, Green Transition Crowborough, school governor, Crowborough FairTrade, PTAs), fundraising (£9000 raised in 2025 for local charities & community groups), supporting local businesses and events. I have been a Crowborough Town Councillor since 2019 and a Wealden District Councillor since 2023 for Crowborough South West Ward.

I am pleased to be standing as a candidate for East Sussex County Council and am excited to be pushing for a new innovative approach to the appalling pothole crisis, after meeting with contractors a few weeks ago to learn more. I will fight for improved SEND provision and better funding in schools. And I will strive for a Greener, Fairer, Kinder politics/society and will always choose compassion & unity over hostility & division.
