The Lib Dem candidates standing for election in the East Sussex County County divisions of Uckfield North and Uckfield South with Framfield are Tim Murray and Chris Bowers, respectively. Last Saturday they both attended an outdoor protest meeting organised by residents regarding an ongoing issue in Uckfield - swarming flies that have been plaguing residents for the past couple of years.
The countdown to the local elections is on, with less than one week left until polling day next Thursday May 6th, so it's a good time to profile some of our candidates. Neil Cleaver is the Wealden District Councillor for Hailsham North West, having beaten the Tory incumbent to win the seat in May 2019. Since being elected, Neil has worked tirelessly to address residents' concerns, as outlined in this recent post on Neil's facebook page.

Today - Tuesday April 20th - is the last day to apply for a postal vote (it must be received by your local elections office by 5pm today) for the upcoming local elections on May 6th.
Following the recent resignation of Hailsham North's Conservative District Councillor, who had apparently been living abroad for the entire past year, a by-election will now be held for this newly vacated seat on May 6th. And we are very pleased to announce that the Liberal Democrat candidate will be Hailsham's popular and hardworking Mayor Paul Holbrook.
