Coronation Place Opening

Newly elected Uckfield Town Councillor Cllr Kathy Butler, along with Wealden District Cllr Jane Clark, were both delighted to be present at the official opening of Coronation Place in Uckfield.

Coronation Place provides 18 social rent properties and 2 shared ownership. Two of the homes have been built for wheelchair users.

All the homes have been built to high energy standards. Heat pumps, high levels of installation and photovoltaic solar panels are all part of the scheme. Each home has a rating of EPC A so energy costs will be much reduced. There is an electric charging point. Retained is a small, but pretty, woodland area.

The scheme will be monitored to provide evidence of sustainable living.
